KINDERGARTEN REGISTRATION for the 2015-2016 School Year

It’s that time of year!!  Kindergarten registration will take place during the month of March.  Registration will occur in all Chambersburg Area School District Elementary Buildings.  Please select the building of your choice.  HOWEVER your selection for building registration does not guarantee that your child will attend that school for kindergarten in the fall. Final Kindergarten school assignments are determined by several kindergarten population factors, so you will receive your child’s school assignment by mail in August. 

If you have (or know of) a child who will be five (5) years of age prior to September 1, 2015, please contact our office at 717-261-3466 and we will be more than happy to set up an appointment for you.

 Weather Reminder

Please make sure students are dressed for the colder temperatures.  These are the guidelines we use to determine an Indoor Recess:

Temperature is below 25oF

Severe wind chill factor

Precipation of any type

Ice or snow on playground

School Hours

Doors Open at 8:45am

Classes Start at 9:00am

School Dismisses at 3:30pm

School Closes at 3:45pm
(The doors are closed and locked at this time.)

If you are dropping off or picking up a child before or after school, please do so at the parking lot end of the building.  For your child's safety, do not allow your child to exit the car until a staff member is outside to assist.  If you arrive after 9:00 am, please go to the front door, ring the buzzer, and escort your child to the office.  Any student entering after the start of classes must report directly to the office and be signed in by the parent.  Tardy minutes will be calculated starting at 9:01 am.  An excuse note is required for tardiness.

**If your child is not registered with Transportation as “Parent Transport “ you must send a note each time you pick up your child from school or he/she will be put on the bus.
