Title I Department
Title I is a 100% federally funded supplemental education program that provides financial assistance to Chambersburg Area School District (CASD) and many other local educational agencies to improve educational opportunities for educationally deprived children. CASD's Title I programs are designed to help children meet the state content and performance standards in reading and mathematics.
As we continue working to improve our Title I schools, we are asking for your much-needed input.
We are launching a Title I Parent Survey on April 11, 2016. Title I is one of the largest federal assistance programs for schools, and parent involvement is essential to its success. Your candid evaluation of our program will help influence the future direction of our Title 1 program.
You can access the survey directly at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TIParentSurvey15-16. As we want to ensure honest feedback, your responses will be anonymous and completely confidential.
Once the survey has closed on April 29, 2016, we will analyze and share the results. Then, we will explain how the data will help influence the direction of our Title I program going forward. In addition, this data will be reviewed by CASD administrators and Title I teachers, so that we may continuously improve our programming.
Research shows that involving families and communities in schools improves the academic and social success of children. It is our goal to develop a partnership between you and your child’s school so that all our students have the support they need for a rewarding educational experience. Working together, we will continue to strive to provide the best educational experience possible.
